Loves Labours Lost Act One

I would like to start off saying, well, this is hard to read. Not as hard as Beowulf, but I am not good with poetry.  The Creation of Humor in this act is very noticable.  It is also an odd humor. I believe the part were they talk about the penalty of women that come within a mile of the court is supposed to be funny, but I believe it is odd.  How would you come up with a tongue being cut off funny?  I do find it funny that Biron gets overly dramatic whenhe finds he cannot talk to women for three years. Costard is not able to bear that length and I do not pity him.  He tries to blame the girl so that she has to take his sentence but he doesn't get out of it. Sweet Victory! :)
