The End Of Loud and Close

This book was amazing.  I am so glad I read this book.  This book was something I'd recommend to anyone.  The book teaches the reader how those who suffered by losing a loved one in 9-11.  Oskar is shown as a young kid with the mentality of a mature adult, but this book shows how just because someone may seem grown up but   is still a young kid at heart.  Or in their brain as Oskar would say.  It shows how even a kid who has been taught to believe in "logic", as Liam would say, can realize there is somethings not even logic can explain.  We all need someone or something to believe in.  When you lose someone this is especially true.  I don't want to give away what happens with the key and lock. It was definitely not what I expected to have happen.  It was a great ending though and I hope the movie is just as great.  When I first bought this book this summer I figured I'd probably never read it since I didn't use it for the summer reading project.  Now I am happy i did.  I never found out the ending for some,  it did not seem happy for all, but it was progress for many people and their lives.  I encourage you all to read this book!!!!!

  1. Sometimes it's nice reading about someone's experiences, it makes you feel more human if you realize that there is someone else out there who has suffered great loss, and maybe your loss isn't as bad as their loss. If you lost a pencil, you could replace it, but loved ones are not replaceable.

  3. Yes glad you liked the book, and your fish are extremely distracting. The point of logic doesn't play a big part finding the equilibrium for your life can dictate your happiness.
