Into the Wild Chapter Three

This chapter I found confusing.  There was a kid found in the last chapter dead.  The first name was different than the first chapter but the last name wasn't.  I just assumed he lied about his name but I am a little confused.  The talk about another driver picking him up. I am glad it cleared it up who was who and he did lie about the name, but it doesn't really explain much else. I kind of had to assume why he decided to give up all his money and go to the wild.  I'm still not quite sure. This story really jumps around.  I hope it turns out better because I sometimes just want to give up because it is not very interesting.
